General Info

The Photo Sessions are designed for children of all ages. We are sorry but we will not be able to accommodate any pet photography.

All sessions will be held at Overlake Christian Church in Redmond [map/directions]. Please arrive twenty minutes before your session is scheduled to begin.

Within three weeks after the photo shoot is completed, your photographer will e-mail you with a preview gallery of your images, at which time you will have an opportunity to order a CD with all of your full-resolution images.

Note: All images are digital. There are no print sales for this event, unlike in previous years. You can order prints yourself from Costco, Shutterfly, etc. using the images on CD.

Pricing Information

There is a $40 sitting fee for each 20-minute portrait session, or $60 for each 40-minute extended session (required for parties of five (5) or more).

CD of images: $100 (payable either at, or after, the event)

For this year's event, all images are digital. There are no print sales for this event.

Early Bird Rates: If you register for your session between September 1st and September 15th, you will receive $5 off of your sitting fee ($35). There is no early bird rate for 40-minute extended sessions since they are already discounted by $20.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the sitting fee or print payments tax deductible?

No. Although we are a non-profit organization, you're receiving goods and services in exchange for your payment. (However, if you chose to make a separate donation, that donation would be deductible.)

How should I dress my children for the portrait session?

You can dress your children in whatever they feel comfortable in. Clothing with prominent logos or cartoon characters are best avoided, as they can be visually distracting. This year, each photographer will choose whatever backdrop they want to use. We will let each individual client know what color of backdrop their photographer will be using.

Why are you only offering a CD of digital images this year, rather than prints as in previous years?

In previous years, it took a lot of effort on the part of our photographers and volunteers to offer prints. In an effort to streamline the event this year, we've tried to keep it simple by only offering CDs. We believe the CD option is a better value for most people, as it allows you to inexpensively print any and all of your pictures from the event, share them on Facebook, etc. During the last Pictures For a Purpose event, most people chose the CD option and this resulted in the bulk of the money we raised for our cause. We regret any inconvenience caused by this decision.
